Reputation: To most she is incredibly placid and largely uninteresting, save, perhaps, for her particular style - specifically heroin chic. You could probably (definitely) take her in a (physical) fight but she seems - generally - unbothered. Co-owner of the Dispensary. Often seen with a mean dog.
A. Area of potential: Resilient
She's a survivor. She knows when to keep a secret, when to make a threat - when to just shut up, when she has to. Despite her appearance and her delayed or non-reactions to most things, Marceline has a strong mind for business and management - and a strong mind, in general. She's entirely confident with herself and her abilities, and hold others to the same standards as herself. Her pride doesn't get in the way of her staying alive - that being said, she's been around, and she's made lots of friends in that time. Probably a few enemies too, though. And even though she can't remember all of that, she's about to do it all again, all the while playing as some spacey girl who could and should be disregarded.
B. Area of potential: Educated
She worked with her late husband, a pharmacologist, as a clinical lab technician. His published findings were initially theirs and later mostly hers, published under his name (Dr. M. Moon) as he technically had the credentials required, and his name and (mostly) gender carried more respect in the field.
C. Area of potential: Musical
Though she is not adept at most of the instruments she's thus far tried her hand at (she can play very simple rhythm guitar but that's about where that stops) Marceline has a musical past that is slowly starting to make itself apparent to her, via discovery of a husky voice and the lyrics she keeps finding herself scratching in the margins or other things. If you're into watching a ragdoll propelled by its own energy, repetitively narrowly avoiding death she's got stage presence that speaks to a past she's comfortable ignoring.
D. Known Risk Factor: Secretive (Addict)
God damn, is she untrusting. For most things she doesn't care, but if you ask her about most anything relating to her work with the intention to over-take her, she will do her very best to bring you down - and boy, does she know how to make friends in high places when she needs to. Until that point it will burn her up inside, and until she can achieve her goal (or go down trying) she is going to have a mighty disquiet inside, something she drowns out with a certain substance.
E. Known Risk Factor: Frail
The body that Marceline woke up to was closer to frail and malnourished than it ever was healthy and, so far, she has not reversed that trend. Under her layered clothing she's growing thinner, not taking care of herself and generally neglecting most things outside of business and addiction. It's bound to bite her in the ass eventually. On MARTIAN she ran a dispensary, but it's gone along with most everyone she worked with or knew, and she's starting to feel all that loss.
F. Known Risk Factor: Selfish
Her prime objective in her life is - well - herself. If it doesn't benefit her in some way, she's probably not going to have a lot of sympathy for you, or your stupid problems. Generally she has tact, but sometimes she can't be bothered - most people don't really care about how selfish she is, but if you're unlucky enough to care for her (unlikely at best) you're shortly about to wish that she would either grow a heart (even more unlikely), or that you could forget about yours (the Dispensary is right this way).
*Other: Marceline was born to a Southern family with a silver spoon in her mouth, to a sickly mother who saw to the running of the home. Shortly after the woman's death, her father squandered their fortune, and with it the secure future her mother had crafted for Marceline in the days following her conception. After struggling to put herself through college she met a man she found useful, married, and grew to love (maybe not in that order, but who's keeping track). They worked together and were generally attached at the hip, until one day he was shot dead in his laboratory, according to the courts, by his suspected mistress, who then took her own life. Marceline fled to space shortly after her own acquittal, in the hopes that she might be able to continue her work -- or, you know, run a small venue front to the drug market on Mars, fail to get her memories back and start again with nothing on a new planet.
