Dr. Jacob Kilmore--I keep forgetting, thanks Bill, can we edit this part out? Where... oh right... the following files & recordings pertaining to a one Dr. Jacob Kilmore, with documentation commencing [CENSORED] [[BLACKED OUT FOR THE FOLLOWING THREE PARAGRAPHS, CONTENT PICKS BACK UP AT SECTION 2, TRANSCRIPT OF ITEM D-5:]] ... he's a long man, dark... can scare the crap out of you if you're not expecting him in the lab that night. He's got, well, I mean, he's a nice enough guy, but he's kind of got the face of a thug? We don't like it, none of us do... What? Yeah, we've talked about it. Jake kinda, I don't know how much he knows. What? Yeah, Bill says says he knows his way around but, ah... sorry, I didn't mean to get off topic. Anyway, mostly he sort of towers around the lab. He's a little big for it. No, I don't know if he's looking for something... [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [[THE FOLLOWING PAGES ARE MISSING]]

Reputation: Look, Jake's a nice enough guy. Nobody here is arguing with that. He planned Dr. Anzaldua's birthday party last year, Dr. Chaiprasit is great friends with his ex-wife, he's always taking charge of Hawaii Thursdays and, just so you know, that's not even a thing we have around here. Only he does it. Look, I wrote the recommendation letter for his niece, I helped him move out of his old house into his new apartment, I take care of his dog when I can. We're like a family here, and Dr. Kilmore is a good brother to have. When we were in Nay Pyi Taw he was the first to say hello to everyone, to try everything; in Kokura where we met [CENSORED] you know he's the one who spearheaded that and nobody's questioning that the guy knows his stuff! Maybe a little too curious, but you like that in this job. Goofy, but it lightens the mood. Just... Jake's great, but... You sell out one, you can sell out the rest. Jake's a dangerous guy to be keeping around here...
A. Area of potential: [The Chatty Cathy]
The man can really gab. He hardly ever stops talking. Says here in his file that he averages only 24% of his work day in silence. Please keep in mind, he's often working alone. Averagely sociable fellow, he's a master of chitchat and his curiosity knows no bounds--he's interested in almost any subject, anything, whatever it is you have to share. In this way, he's been really good on the ground level, person-to-person, in the meeting rooms, in the conferences, at the negotiation tables and the record bears that out with [CENSORED], [CENSORED], [CENSORED], just to name a few. Colleagues (well, former colleagues now) describe him as "funny" & "almost poetic" although it's really hard to say how much of the positive remembrance is motivated by pity, guilt, or even fear. If what we hear is true though, then he's an absolute scream in the war room, even when he's just talking to himself. According to these HR complaints he whistles too.
B. Area of potential: [The Open-Minded Tourist]
Superiors and Underlings alike have rushed to comment on this. In fact, anyone who was with him in Nay Pyi Taw has included a special note on how open-minded and receptive he is to everything. Apparently this covers everything from cultures, to foods, to unusual propositions, to unfounded scientific ideas, to cults, to mad theories, to weird styles and terrible haircuts. Everyone (& we mean everyone) is to each his own in Dr. Kilmore's world. He's very set in this way, to tacky, touristy, and sometimes dangerous extremes. Some colleagues note on the condition of anonymity the occasional potential for embarrassment.
C. Area of potential: [The Kool Kat]
Interviews and taped briefings (don't look for those tapes, per protocol we've filed them to oblivion) reveal Dr. Kilmore to be a very relaxed and composed individual who speaks easily, moves easily, and jokes easily. His work attire suggests a preference for the casual and decorations & additions to his lab show him to be a fairly easy-going guy, generally likable, at least enough to generally like himself and show it too. We know it's off topic, but while we're on the subject of the lab can we mention some of the personal notes of Kilmore's we've collected that refer to the offensive capabilities of [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED]. It's just something we don't want to go unnoticed.
D. Known Risk Factor: [The Agent Provocateur]
A year and a half ago in a inter-departmental political entanglement [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] requiring [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] conspiracy between [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] was in collusion with [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] became suddenly tantamount to treason when necessary to call it so [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] the machinations of which [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] [CENSORED] needed a small group of representatives, or "chumps & scapegoats," if you will. Jacob Kilmore was raised to hate informers, rats, and snitches as much as the next American boy. But when faced with the possibility of the hideous prison system, or (even somehow worse) the [classified] prison system, he agreed all the same to help ensnare his friends. In a single year and a half he has already led two of his colleagues to criminal charges. God, is this really the type of man he is now?
E. Known Risk Factor: [The Strangelove Effect]
We're all very pleased to have had someone like Dr. Kilmore on our team, to have had the chance to work with him and benefit from his mind and talents. The last thing we want to do here is undermine what a pleasure and what an honor it's been to work with Jacob these past years. His theories and applications into nuclear science, while occasionally unorthodox, are frequently (though not always) very promising and have great potential. But we wonder... we would never want to dismiss a man on his way forcefully out the door, but we wonder if the historical weight, context, power, and potential of his chosen field ever occurs to him. Nuclear Power has a sordid past in this country and should always be treated with the utmost respect. Why then, we have to ask ourselves, do we choose a scientist for whom these death tolls seem like superfluous data, this potential destruction just a mathematical equation away?
F. Known Risk Factor: [The Political Fool]
Certain constraints and obfuscations make it impossible to know how much Dr. Kilmore ought to have known, how much he ought to have seen coming. Departmental protocol and bureaucracy dictates that nobody in the program should know everything about the program, and so Dr. Kilmore's knowledge of his world was probably understandably fuzzy, censored, and blacked-out in large chunks in its own, special way. For example, Kilmore didn't even know his old friend [CENSORED] was involved in the program until he incriminated him in a set-up! His own position in the department was confusing at best, his title a four-word amalgam of vague managerial gibberish that seemed to only mean he got a lab, resources, techs, but also colleagues of his same caliber, and certainly superiors, some of which he never even met. Should he have seen the complicated political hairball coming his way? Should he have been able to prevent the chumpification of him and some of his team? Should he have known that we would sell him up the river to [REDACTED]? When you lack cunning, it's always too late to tell.
*Other: Smokes so the radiation won't catch him (wait, what?) // Kilmore is his ex-wife's last name, he took it in the divorce // Lived above a fortune teller for a little bit and remains interested in new age knick-knacks // Missing two fingers (thumb, index) on his dominant left hand, writes like a child right now and those cybernetic parts are starting to look real good // Champion of left-handed doomsday devices (what do you mean "personal interest," there's no personal interest) // Known for volunteering for experiments or self-experimentation // Claims to know what's inside Area 51 but he's not telling you // Prefers his proper title whenever he can get it and is not necessarily above asking for it, as in "Please, sir, Mr. Kilmore was my father-in-law, call me Doctor."
